Analysis to determine how has the AI impacted digital media from 2020 to 2025.
Client - Data Origins
We obtained the data from Kaggle:
https://www.kaggle.com/
Tools
Excel, Power BI
In this project, we obtained the data from: Kaggle.
We downloaded the CSV(.xlsx) and turned it into an Excel file for better data manipulation. I cleaned a gave better structure to the data so it can be easier to export it to Power BI.
I imported the data into my Power BI project and made some final adjustments using Power Query. Then, I began designing the dashboard and answering the questions based on my analysis of the visuals.
Goal
We wanted to determine the impact of AI in Digital Media, specifically whether these tools affect people and their jobs and whether their usage can be beneficial to the industry in general.
Results
We concluded that there was no clear correlation between AI adoption in digital media by country and the risk of job loss. However, ther were some signals of job loss when it comes to certains industries like the Manufacturing.
Also we couldn’t assotiate AI implementation with higer revenues for the Countries or the Industries. To the contrary, those ones that used it the less seem to have better results in revenues.
Project Duration
It was a small project so it took around a week to develop.
Conclusions
We should not over-rely on AI-generated content. According to the results, the countries and industries with the highest AI usage are not necessarily those that saw the most significant revenue increases. This may be because AI-generated content is often perceived by consumers as less real, less reliable, or lacking authenticity. On the other hand, the use of AI doesn’t necessarily mean that humans will lose their jobs; instead, it can make us more efficient.
